Arrive in Amritsar and check in to your hotel. After settling in, begin your spiritual experience with a visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) – the holiest shrine in Sikhism. Walk through the marble pathways surrounding the sacred Amrit Sarovar, listen to soul-soothing Kirtan inside the main sanctum, and enjoy the peaceful vibes. Visit the Akal Takht Sahib, the highest seat of Sikh authority, and take part in Guru Ka Langar, the community kitchen that serves free meals to everyone. In the evening, you may return to the Golden Temple to witness the Palki Sahib ceremony, where the Guru Granth Sahib is respectfully carried to its resting place. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
After breakfast, head to Jallianwala Bagh, located near the Golden Temple. This historic garden commemorates the martyrs of the tragic 1919 massacre. Then, visit the Partition Museum, which tells the powerful story of India's Partition through personal stories, photographs, and artefacts. In the afternoon, proceed towards the Wagah Border, around 30 km from the city. Arrive by 3:00 PM to secure good seating for the Beating Retreat Ceremony, a patriotic display of military discipline and national pride at the India-Pakistan border. Witness the crowd's energy and the synchronized performance by soldiers on both sides. After the ceremony, return to Amritsar and enjoy dinner at a local vegetarian restaurant. On your final day, you may choose to visit nearby spiritual sites like Gurudwara Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed or Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib, both holding deep historical and spiritual significance.
